As an organism, we require 4 things to thrive: Movement; Good Fuel; Good Sleep Hygiene; and Spiritual Connection. Show up for yourself, and become the best version of yourself, without comparisons. Ditch the scale, thinking about your chronological age, and social media likes or followers. These numbers are irrelevant in your life! You are SO much more than these numbers. “In the end, these are the things that matter most: How well did you love? How fully did you live? How deeply did you let go?” ~Buddha
Rhonda Palmiero has been teaching group fitness since 1985, before certifications ever existed. While in undergraduate school at Niagara University, she received the Presidential Award in recognition for establishing the first on-campus group fitness program, bringing together faculty, residential, and non-residential students, in the promotion of self-care and overall health and wellness. She graduated with a degree in nursing, and a minor in psychology from NU, and later would go on to get her master’s in healthcare administration from D’Youville College.
Rhonda is certified through the American Fitness Association of America in both group fitness and personal training. She holds certifications as a health and life coach, and has advanced certifications in gerontology, and working with individuals living with dementia, to include assisting families who support these individuals.
Rhonda is a nationally qualified physique competitor having 5 overall wins across the east coast spanning 2012-2017.
Her fitness philosophy is to show up and do your best. She believes you can’t engage in fitness without having fun so she loves to insert humor (and education) into her workouts. Fun combined with knowledge is powerful as it allows people to make sense in why we engage in particular types of exercises, the speed or slowness in which we do them, the importance of form, and mind/muscle connection. This also builds self-confidence so when the trainer isn’t there, form can still be executed with accuracy.
“Taking time for self-care is so important, as you cannot pour from an empty cup. It is essential that we take time to fill ourselves up with meaning, purpose, and a sense of connection beyond our to-do list.”
Rhonda’s years of experience in the medical and fitness world has allowed her to fully appreciate and understand that mind, body, and spirit are interconnected as it relates to overall well-being and the creation of a life well lived. “Don’t just create a life that looks good on the outside, create a life that feels great on the inside too!”
